Diverse events programme on offer at ACLE 2018

This year marks the 20th anniversary of ACLE and it will feature a myriad of conferences, seminars and forums, alongside the usual high calibre of exhibitors.
The day before the exhibition formally commences, an event will take place under the name ‘Shanghai Shake-Up Conference’. It will be opened by Nicoline van Enter, founder of teaching and technology organisation The Footwearists. Other speakers at the conference, which is dedicated to material innovation, will be Michael Costello, director of sustainability at Stahl; Mike Redwood, spokesperson for Leather Naturally; Harry Johnson, sales manager at Pittards; and Arnold Yuan, managing director of GST China & Korea.
During the exhibition, there will be an extensive seminar and workshop programme. Among the companies that will deliver talks are DowDuPont, SATRA and Testex.
Leather Naturally will oversee a special zone at the event that will feature leather trends, talks, designer workshops and product displays. It will offer visitors a better understanding of how leather is made, present colour and material trends for spring-summer 2018, and allow young designers to take part in free workshops led by experienced industry figures.
