Stahl sets its sights on the aviation interior market

Through this joint venture, to be launched under the name AeroVisto, the partners aim to “provide the best passenger experience for the aviation industry”.
Stefan Buri, Stahl’s global marketing director for mobility, has said: “In the next 5-10 years, new disruptive technologies will fundamentally change the automotive industry. That is why we increasingly see premium OEMs seek brand differentiation by providing superior passenger experience in interiors. With boundaries between mobility segments blurring, we see an opportunity to leverage our automotive core capabilities and actively drive the seamless integration of brand experiences across the different mobility modes.”
AeroVisto will offer innovative materials for aviation interiors, starting with the introduction of a wide range of leather products This will include materials treated with Stahl’s Stay Clean technology.
“Winning Stahl as our technology partner means we will gain access to best-in-class surface technology and innovation leadership in interior trim solutions in automotive and other mobility segments,” said Hermann Bauer, managing director of Maritime Aerospace.
AeroVisto will be officially launched at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE), which is taking place in Geneva from May 29-31.
