UK goatskin tannery prepares to launch funding campaign

Proposals for the tannery, which is based in Leicestershire, received approval from the local council in November 2016. A few months earlier, Leatherbiz.com reported that The Billy Tannery brand was aiming to transform a “largely redundant” site in the village of Arnesby into a micro-tannery, which will produce no more than 150kg of crust leather per week.
The first Billy Tannery products that will be made available will reportedly include notebooks, a card holder, a briefcase and a backpack.
