Proposal for leather complex in Telangana

Plans to establish a leather complex in the Indian state of Telangana have been submitted to the government. 

K T Rama Rao, Telangana Industries and Commerce Minister, submitted the proposal for the 117-acre complex to Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Nirmala Sitharaman, in New Delhi.

It would be built in the Warangal district of the state at a cost of Rs 270 crore ($40.2 million). The proposal requested a grant of Rs 105 crore ($15.6 million) under the Indian Leather Development Programme (ILDP), which was commissioned by the national government in 2014.
