Organisers of the recent Fashion Access bag and footwear exhibition in Hong Kong have named the winners of the Best of APLF Awards.

The winners were: Hong Kong-based Lamac for its lifestyle collection of casual shoes, which feature a spring in the heel to adjust elasticity based on body weight, protecting the joints.

Ma’s Ceramic Art Collection from Korea was named the best Fashion Accessories Collection. It makes use of ceramics in clutches, necklaces and jewellery.

Brazilian shoemaker Henrich & Cia took the footwear prize for its Carrana brand of ladies’ footwear, and Atelier Aknas from Thailand uses stingray and exotic leather for bags and scooped the leathergoods award.

“With trading conditions tougher than they had been for several years since the 2008-2009 financial crisis, there were some really spectacular products on show to attract wholesalers and distributors looking for that special touch,” said Fashion Access organisers.
