35,000 expected at Fimec

Brazil-based leather fair Fimec begins this week in Novo Hamburgo, where 14 tanneries will join around other 1,200 exhibitors.

More than 35,000 visitors are expected at the International Trade Fair for Leather, Chemical Products, Components, Machines and Equipment for Footwear and Tanneries.

José Fernando Bello, president of CICB, the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry, described it as a “well-respected" event. “Major names from the tanning and footwear industry, as well as key suppliers from both these sectors, take part in Fimec.”

Fimec takes place between March 17 and 20 at Fenac, and participating tanneries include Agrolatina, Arte na Pele, Apucarana Leather, Curtume Moderno and FAF Artefatos de Couros.
