SATRA deems FIMEC a success

Leather and footwear testing body SATRA has said its first appearance at Brazilian leather fair FIMEC proved successful, generating considerable interest from footwear manufacturers in the region.

Mexican safety shoe manufacturer Riverland signed up to become a member and Piccadilly, a Brazilian fashion brand, committed to the installation of SATRA’s VisionStitch stitching efficiency system which was being demonstrated at the show.

SATRA’s investment in the FIMEC show marks the first of many initiatives to increase awareness across South America of SATRA’s research and testing services.

Held in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil, earlier this month, FIMEC attracts a large number of footwear components manufacturers. Visitors to the SATRA stand included large brand owners and producers from countries such as Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, Argentina and Mexico looking to increase their production efficiency and technical awareness.
