08/01/2015
Designers of less than 40 years of age from all over the world have until February 8 to register their interest in taking part, with a grant of €300,000 and a 12-month personalised mentorship from a dedicated LVMH team awaiting the winner. Participants must already have presented and sold at least two women’s or men’s ready-to-wear collections.
A shortlist of ten will be named at the beginning of March and a panel of judges, comprising creative directors from LVMH brands, will select the winner. Among the judges will be a number of leather specialists including Nicolas Ghesquière of Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Karl Lagerfeld, Phoebe Philo of Céline and Jonathan Anderson of Loewe.
LVMH vice-president, Delphine Arnault, said at the time of the announcement: “It is our responsibility as leader of our industry to identify tomorrow’s talents and help them grow. With this second edition of the LVMH Prize for Young Designers, the group confirms its ongoing dedication to young talent.”
The winner will be announced in June.
