Brazil: JBS joins top 100 for CSR

Brazilian tanning group JBS has entered a ranking of the top 100 Brazilian companies according to corporate social responsibility strategy (CSR).

The list, compiled by consultancy Merco and IBOPE (Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics), pegs the group at 43. It is the first year it has appeared in this particular list.

In terms of its corporate reputation, JBS ranks 69th, two places higher than last year while CEO Wesley Batista and chairman Joesley Batista feature among Brazil's 100 top business leaders.
