Paris-based leather show Le Cuir a Paris has sold out of exhibitor space for its September edition – the first that will take place under new owner Premiere Vision.

European tanneries will make up 94% of 430 exhibitors at the luxury leather-focused show, with 54% from Italy, 17% from France, 9.5% from Spain and 6% from Turkey.

“The leathergoods industry has been particularly dynamic in recent years and the future looks bright for the European leather industry, providing it continues to distinguish itself with high-quality products and great creativity,” said Philippe Pasquet, CEO of Première Vision.

“The shows of Première Vision Pluriel group have chosen to adopt a selective positioning in tune with the market and its needs. We wish to continue along this route with the implementation from February 2015 of a selection committee for Le Cuir, made up of professionals from the sector, who will be in charge of ensuring the standard of creativity and quality of new companies applying to join the show.”

Thirty footwear components suppliers will join the tanneries as exhibitors.
