World Leather Day deemed a success

Not-for-profit Leather Naturally has cited the social media interest in this year’s World Leather Day as evidence that interest in leather craftsmanship, sustainability and innovation, as well as quality and longevity in materials, is growing.

On April 29, the body organised its fifth World Leather Day, with the aim of uniting voices across the industry to champion leather’s role in fashion, interiors, automotive and design.

Campaign highlights included more than 150 social media posts, stories and PR features; 12,000 views of PR coverage; and engagement across industry and consumer-facing platforms.

 “Thank you to everyone who supported, shared and participated in World Leather Day 2026 and helped make this year’s campaign a truly global success,” said organisers.
