Namibia: Charity aims to provide all barefoot children with leather shoes

Tim Ekandjo said Never Walk Alone aims to give every barefoot child a pair of shoes.
"It's important to emphasise that this is not a school shoe project,” he told local press. “This is a high-quality leather shoe called the veldskoen that can be worn to school and everywhere else.”
The charity donated shoes to schools in Hardap, Omaheke, Erongo, Kavango East, Kavango West, Khomas and Kunene.
The principal of Oshikuni Primary School, Aarde Mwoongeli, said: "These learners have been suffering, especially during the winter times. These shoes will really make a positive impact on the learners.”
