Bugatti and IXO make $300,000 pool table
The lifestyle arm of France-based high-performance automobile maker Bugatti has collaborated with official partner Iconic Xtrem Objects (IXO) of Spain on a €250,000 (around $300,000) pool table.
Crafted from carbon fibre (with aluminium and titanium structures beneath), complete with aniline leather pockets and an Ettore Bugatti logo-branded leather suitcase, made exclusively for a full set of Aramith Tournament Pro pool balls, only 30 will ever be made.
Other notable features include carbon fibre pool cues, designed with aluminium ends to match the buttons inside Bugatti’s Chiron hypercar. A 13-inch touch screen can keep score.
An optional system with a gyroscopic levelling sensor makes the table suitable for yachting, as its inbuilt motorised function allows for each of the four legs to respond to movement and adjust individually - meaning that the game’s surface level can be maintained, despite choppy waters below.
Five out of the 30 pool tables to be made are expected to be delivered in June of this year.
