Premiere Vision cancels September’s physical event
Organisers of Paris-based trade show Premiere Vision have cancelled September’s live event, following recent decisions by the French government banning events of more than 5,000 people until after 31 October, along with new travel restrictions in many countries.

The show, which was due to take place on September 15 and 16, will now take place online.

Around 300 leather-focused companies will be represented. All exhibitors’ collections will be detailed online, and visitors will be able to connect and request samples.

Organisers said: “For over 45 years, Première Vision has believed in the importance of live meetings and the creative energy resulting from them. So while waiting to see you again, the Digital Show will fill in for now, with complementary services to assist you, remotely, in the designing of your collections.”

The Première Vision fashion team has selected the season’s most creative and representative products from the exhibitors’ collections. These will be showcased on the website, alongside trends, and promoted in the Marketplace’s online magazine. There will also be a programme of 20 free digital talks.

Organisers of the Paris-based Sustainable Leather Forum have confirmed to leatherbiz that that event will not be affected by this announcement, and will go ahead as planned on September 14.
