19/07/2019
Leather testing and consultancy body Eurofins BLC has given details of three leather training courses that it will hold in Hong Kong in November. They will be delivered in partnership with APLF.

“Delivered by our technical experts, these courses aim to develop the attendee’s knowledge and understanding of leather as a material and the leather supply chain,” Eurofins BLC said on making this announcement.

The first course will take place on November 19. It will be a one-day session dedicated to understanding leather. Attendees will learn about the fundamentals of leather and the leather production process. It is targeted at buyers, quality control and retail staff.

There will be two half-day courses on November 20. One will focus on the issue of mould and how it can be prevented. It is suitable for anyone responsible for the storage or transportation of leathergoods.

The final course is dedicated to sustainability, an extremely pertinent issue in the leather industry. Topics covered will include traceability, environmental impact, leather types and chemical management risks within the leather supply chain.
