Italian luxury group Salvatore Ferragamo has appointed Alessandro Corsi as its new chief financial officer. He will assume the role on January 11.

His appointment comes following the resignation of Ugo Giorcelli, who is set to join fashion brand Benetton in early 2019. He has been Ferragamo’s CFO since 2016.

Mr Corsi joined the Ferragamo group in 2003. Since then, his roles at the company have included director of business development and e-commerce, investor relations director, and chief strategy officer.
