Inspiramais to celebrate leather’s natural qualities

The next edition of the designer-focused Inspiramais event in São Paulo, which takes place on January 15-16 will showcase what the organisers have called “the genuine, luxurious, and irreplaceable look of leather”.

Fifteen Brazilian tanneries have prepared finished leather articles for Inspiramais, revealing new colours, textures and effects. Natural textures will be of particular interest, the organisers have said. Project co-ordinator, Marnei Carminatti, said in the build-up to the event that natural looks have become something of a “mantra for creatives in the new millennium”.

The event is organised by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), footwear industry body Assintecal, and the Brazilian Leather Project, a partnership between the CICB and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
