Delvaux prepares to make its US debut

Delvaux, which lays claim to be the oldest luxury leathergoods brand in the world, will open its first US flagship store later this month.

It will be located inside the Sherry-Netherland hotel on New York’s Fifth Avenue.

Among the features of the store will be risers on the staircase painted black, yellow and red in a nod to the brand’s Belgian roots.

Earlier this year, Delvaux said it was doubling its production capacity in order to meet growing demand for its products. In addition to its new store in New York, it is also planning openings in London (where it already operates two stores) and Milan.
