Another year, another record for LVMH

LVMH’s leathergoods group contributed revenues of almost €15.5 billion, a rise of 13% at comparable structure and exchange rates with 2016. Profits from leathergoods were close to €5 billion, an increase of 27%.
Leathergoods contributed more revenue and more profit than any other part of LVMH’s wider business. It highlighted the performance of its biggest leathergoods brand, Louis Vuitton. saying iconic and new products at Louis Vuitton had been successful in 2017 and that the brand’s profitability remains at an exceptional level.
Chief executive, Bernard Arnault, commented: “LVMH achieved another record year. The excellent performance, to which all our businesses contributed, is due in part to the buoyant environment but above all to the remarkable creative strength of our brands and their ability to constantly reinvent themselves.”
