ICLT celebrates record student intake

A total of 26 leather students from across the world, including seven from the UK, will take part in courses offered by ICLT this year. This is more than double last year’s intake of 12 students.
The ICLT said that ongoing support from The Worshipful Company of Leathersellers has allowed it to extend its outreach activities and raise the profile of leather education so it is seen as a relevant educational path for students with an interest in science, technology, fashion and design.
It also revealed that ICLT graduates have a 100% employability rate in the past six years, including at companies like the Scottish Leather Group, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce and Church’s footwear. It is hoping its news students will have similar success when they begin their career in the leather industry.
