Kering praised for progress on gender equality

Luxury fashion group Kering has been recognised for its initiatives promoting gender equality with the Equality European & International Standard (GEEIS) certification from the Arborus Fund.

The Arborus Fund is a European organisation that aims to promote gender equality in the workplace. The GEEIS label was founded in 2010 in Europe to measure gender equality initiatives. It was expanded to other parts of the world in 2014. It provides a global standard of practices in relation to pay, promotions, development and diversity.

Kering was rewarded for its commitment towards gender parity. This includes a human resources policy that aims to make the company a benchmark employer of women. Women make up 31% of Kering’s executive committee and 64% of its board of directors.

“Furthering equality between men and women is a top priority for Kering,” said Béatrice Lazat, vice president of human resources at Kering. “This GEEIS certification shows us our efforts have paid off and been recognised.”
