Trumpler announces leather trends for autumn-winter 2016
Leather chemicals suppler Trumpler has published its trend predictions for autumn-winter 2016 collections reflected in four categories: Faraway, Woodland, Functional and Academic.
It says the season’s leathers will be inspired nature, culture and technology of the 1970s and 1980s.
Leathers will incorporate finished and unfinished elements with wax effects - polished, smooth, light and delicate with natural shine. Designs are formulated around brown, orange, red, dark green and blue.
Garment leathers made from goat and lamb are reflected in the categories Postmodern, Stone, Art & Nature and Constructivism collections. Finishing includes shiny-opaque and pearlescent effects and irregular colour placements. Designs will feature cold grey, ice blue, lava, petrol and apricot colour.
Trumpler can match the trends with recipes from wet end to finishing. Chemicals selected for the collections were inspired by its Sustainability Hierarchy giving emphasis to the TRUPOTAN BIO range and new fatliquors such as TRUPON LH and TRUPON MTA, and special effect finishing chemicals such as TRUPOCRYL U34P, TRUPOCRYL TF, TRUPOFIN TOP PU MATE-20, STUCCO NF and TRUPOFIN WAX KT08.
