A number of carmakers have reported sales figures for 2014, with BMW, Bentley and Rolls-Royce among those that made big gains.

Bentley announced record sales with 11,020 cars delivered, 9% higher than the previous year and with growth in every region.

Rolls-Royce reported its fifth consecutive record year and the highest sales in the marque’s 111-year history. Just over 4,060 cars were delivered to customers in 2014, an increase of 12%.

BMW has announced records for the UK and US but hasn’t verified global figures as yet. The brand accounted for 148,878 sales, an increase of 9.8%, in the UK and 48,141 vehicles, another 9% rise, in the US.

Other car manufacturers are expected to publish 2014 totals soon.
