Nine-month record for BMW
04/11/2014
Nine-month revenues grew by 3.4% year on year to reach €57.7 billion, with profits before tax of €6.8 billion, figures that mark new all-time highs for the first nine months of any year.
The number of vehicles sold in the first nine months increased by 6.5% to a new record figure of 1,529,880 units. Sales of BMW cars rose by 9.1% for the nine-month period to reach more than 1.3 million vehicles, while sales figures for Rolls-Royce were up by 24.3% to 2,859 units.
Sales of Mini cars were down, by 7.5% to 207,529 units; the group said this was because of changes it has made to that brand’s core model. It said it was confident the full-year figures for Mini would show a recovery.
