'Facts about chromium' offered in six languages

The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists (IULTCS) has launched ‘Chromium and Leather Research: A balanced view of scientific facts and figures’ in six languages receiving reports of the material being has been used to dispel concerns about use of chromium tanning compounds.

“Chromium III, which is used exclusively by the leather industry, can be used safely and the formation of unwanted chromium VI can be managed,” said IULTCS in a statement. “To ensure this happens is the responsibility of all in the leather industry.”

The presentation is now available in English, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish, Japanese and Portuguese on the IULTCS website.
