GLCC to meet in Bologna

The Global Leather Coordinating Committee (GLCC), the body with key representatives of the leather sector’s three international organisations – International Council of Tanners (ICT), International Council of Hide Skin & Leather Traders Associations (ICHSLTA) and International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) – will meet again in Bologna on October 9, the middle day of the Lineapelle and Tanning Tech exhibitions.

Subjects that are likely to come up for discussion include an analysis of the global leather industry, proposals for an international leather mark, the lifecycle analysis and carbon footprint of leather, the European Commission’s pilot project for green products and restricted substance lists.
