Ettinger celebrates its 80th anniversary
20/02/2014
Established in 1934 by the current CEO’s father, Gerry Ettinger, the company has grown from a small leathergoods manufacturing business into a global brand.
In 1996 it was granted a royal warrant and in an interview with World Leather last year (available to download from our technical library), CEO Robert Ettinger revealed how the company had doubled its factory in Walsall to meet demand.
“Although the number of UK leathergoods manufacturers continues to decrease with only a few still remaining, Ettinger is celebrating its 80th year with considerable optimism,” said Mr Ettinger. “Internationally, the company is expanding into new markets and retailers, and the online shop is selling to a growing number of customers from around the world.”
