Will Leather Goods donates 3,000 bags to children

US-based leathergoods retailer Will Leather Goods has donated 3,000 backpacks to children in Detroit, part of a charity programme it set up to support students in underfunded schools.

The donation is part of founder Will Adler's mission to provide 500,000 backpacks to children in need by 2022.

"My life's mission is to inspire people to act and be creative," Mr Adler. "A bag to carry your dream is creating an ocean of inspiration at the beginning of young peoples lives."

The family run company started as a small belt stand at Venice Beach, California, in 1981.
