06/05/2025

The fifth edition of Italian conference Gli Stati Generali della Pelletteria Italiana (the state of Italian leathergoods) will be held on May 15 in Florence.

Organised by leathergoods association Assopellettieri and promoted by Municipality of Florence, the event will bring together supply chain partners and institutions to discuss international geopolitical scenarios, macroeconomic changes and how the sector is reacting.

Organisers said: “The most important challenge lies, without a doubt, in the ability to evolve while remaining faithful to the quality, knowhow and vision that have made Italian leathergoods a key element of Made in Italy fashion in the world.”

It also emphasised the need to create coherent supply chain storytelling, capable of communicating manufacturing excellence, the integrated supply chain, creativity and heritage, as well as investing in sustainability and technological advancements.

The event is supported by national tanners association UNIC, footwear association Assocalzaturifici and machinery association Assomac.
