LWG calls for technical input on standard

The Leather Working Group (LWG) is setting up technical task teams to provide input for its Manufacturing Standard Development Project, and has issued a call to industry.

It is seeking experts for the following task teams:
• Sustainable chemistry and chemical management
• Water usage and effluent treatment
• Tannery waste management
• Energy usage 

Interested parties are asked to complete a survey. 

Norbert Niedzwiedz, senior manager of standards at LWG, said: “This is a great opportunity to contribute to shaping the change we need for the future.”
