JLIA bestows ‘meister’ title on Hiroan’s Hiroshi Hasegawa

Hiroshi Hasegawa of Japanese leathergoods company Hiroan, established in 1906, was honoured with the title of “Japan leathergoods meister” for accessories manufacture at an awards ceremony in Tokyo on September 5.

Mr Hasegawa was selected for distinction by industry body Japan Leather and Leather Goods Industries Association (JLIA).

Last year, JLIA recognised Kunio Tsuchiya as a “meister” for his expertise in leather bag production. Mr Tsuchiya belongs to local leathergoods house Tsuchiya Kaban, based in the Japanese capital since 1965.
