Brigitte Macron visits Joseph Duclos atelier
Franck Dahan, the entrepreneur and investor behind luxury leathergoods house Joseph Duclos, revived in 2021 under the creative leadership of artistic director Ramesh Nair, has expressed his delight at having welcomed France's first lady, Brigitte Macron, to the company’s flagship boutique in Paris.
Situated along the city's rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the address, found at number 54, also houses Mr Nair's workshop, where he and his team work on designing and developing the brand’s high-end handbag, small leathergoods and perfume collections.
Mr Dahan described his “honour” at having toured the workshop with Mrs Macron, who was notably pictured carrying the house’s Diane clutch bag on an official state visit to the Royal House of the Netherlands alongside her husband last month.
Learn more about the story behind Joseph Duclos, which can be traced all the way back to 1754, from Mr Nair in our feature, ‘A journey through time’, here.
