Richemont to cut Chloé diffusion line
See by Chloé, a diffusion line launched in 2001 by French fashion house Chloé, then under the creative direction of Phoebe Philo, is set to be wound down by parent group Richemont over the next three years, according to reports.

Led by design director Emily Harris since 2019, See by Chloé largely operates a wholesale distribution model (especially in Europe and the United States), although it does also currently own 19 stores in Japan.

Richemont itself reported revenues of over €14.5 billion for the April-December 2021 at the beginning of the year, representing a year-on-year increase of 50% (up 26% on the corresponding pre-pandemic period in 2019).

The group’s fashion and accessories category, which also includes Gabriela Hearst’s Chloé, Alaïa and (since last summer) Delvaux, rose 37% year on year to achieve €610 million (16.8% higher than in 2019 figures).
