Strong growth for Richemont
Luxury group Richemont has reported revenues of more than €14.5 billion for the first nine months of its current business year, the period from April to December 2021.
This represents an increase of 50% compared to the same months in 2020 and is also higher, by 26%, than the corresponding pre-pandemic period of 2019.
Jewellery and watches account for the biggest share of Richemont’s riches and it reports the results of its fashion and accessories brands (including Chloé, Montblanc, Alfred Dunhill, AZ Factory and the more recently acquired Delvaux) as ‘other’.
In the first nine months of the group’s current year, fashion and accessories contributed revenues of €610 million, which represents an increase of 37% year on year. This figure is 16.8% higher than the corresponding one for 2019.
Richemont completed the acquisition of Belgian leathergoods brand Delvaux in mid-2021.
