Rust and blockchain set leathergoods brand apart
An Italian leathergoods brand that uses blockchain technology to highlight authenticity is exhibiting at the Dubai Expo (February 21 to 26), as part of a section dedicated to excellence in the Marche (Italy) region.

The leather in the Cristiano Torricelli collection is decorated using a process called CTRust, which uses oxidized and neutralised rust, applied manually with an airbrush and brush.

Every item is customised; a tool allows customers to select options through the website.

The materials have non-fungible token (NFT) tags that are activated by a smartphone and connect to the company’s website, where the technical specifications of the item can be viewed.

Designer Cristiano Torricelli said: “My new collection, made up of leather jackets and bags, uses innovative workings, with the most modern digital technologies and is very focused on craftsmanship.”

Cristiano Torricelli Collection is a brand licensed to the start-up Do Quality, based in San Benedetto del Tronto.
