Prada Group sales soared 41% in 2021
Milan-headquartered Prada Group, home to brands including Prada, Miu Miu, Church’s and Car Shoe, has revealed that its total revenues for the year 2021 reached €3.36 billion or $3.8 billion.
This represented a sales increase of 41% in comparison to the previous year’s figures. Revenues were also up 8% compared to 2019.
Retail sales during the latter half of 2021 were excellent, the group said, particularly in terms of directly operated stores, inclusive of e-commerce. This led to year-on-year growth of 27% for these channels during the second half, also up 21% on the comparative period in 2019.
Group chief executive, Patrizio Bertelli, commented: “2021 was a year full of challenges, but we proved to be ready and quickly responded to the needs of an extremely dynamic market, putting in place actions that allowed us to understand changes in consumer behaviour effectively.
“The Prada Group has the capabilities and resources to set itself apart and deliver on its future growth objectives.”
