Luxury-sector tanneries showcase 2023 leathers at Blossom

Organisers of  Blossom Première Vision have described a “positive edition” after more than 1,130 visitors representing high-end brands attended the show at the Carreau du Temple in Paris.

Attendance was higher than the December 2018 and 2019 editions, and there was an “encouraging share” of international visitors (15% from Italy, the UK, Belgium and The Netherlands).

Twenty tanneries exhibited leathers for spring-summer 2023 - among them, Tanneries Haas, Megisserie Lauret and Alran from France, and Italian tanners Conceria La Veneta, Conceria Stella and Opera.

Organisers said: “Despite a difficult and still uncertain context, both the sustained business climate and the large number of industry players found at the show send a positive and encouraging signal for the future. Industry specialists have shown their need and desire to work collectively and strengthen their customer/supplier interactions, especially via the meetings initiated at in-person events."

Representatives from brands including Balenciaga, Balmain, Berluti and Bottega Veneta were in attendance.
