French tanneries eye opportunities on US West Coast

The French Tanners Association recently led a group of six tanneries from the country to an event in Los Angeles, where they displayed their leathers for apparel, accessories and home décor. 

The event took place at the California Market Centre on July 13 and 14 with several of the tanneries present stopping off on the US West Coast ahead of their participation in the Première Vision and Lineapelle events in New York (July 18-19).

The French tanneries that attended were: Cuirs Du Futur, Tanneries Haas, Remy Carriat, HCP, Alran SAS and Raynaud Jeune.

Sophie Hivert, director general of the French Tanners Association, told local media that the tanneries participated in the exhibition in Los Angeles to gauge the interest in their leathers from the US West Coast market.
