Accessories struggle, but Richemont notes overall improvement at the end of 2020
Luxury group Richemont has reported sales revenues of close to €9.7 billion for the first nine months of its current financial year, April-December 2020.
This represents a fall of 16% compared to the figure for the corresponding months in 2019, but Richemont said its results for the third quarter were “a marked improvement” over the first six months of the financial year.
There was a sharper decline, however, for its fashion and accessories business area, in which it includes the results of brands such as Chloé, Dunhill and Montblanc. Results here for the nine-month period were down by 33% year on year.
