Tapestry adds to its leadership team

US leathergoods group Tapestry, formerly known as Coach Inc., has appointed Thomas Glaser as its chief operations officer. He will take over in the position on July 15, with his responsibilities including oversight of product development and manufacturing resources, distribution, logistics, ecommerce fulfilment and IT.

He joins Tapestry from apparel and footwear group VF, where he was most recently president of supply chain. He joined VF in 2001 and has held various global sourcing positions during his time at the group. He previously worked for apparel group PVH, which owns the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands. 

“Tom’s leadership and outstanding operational track record at global multi-brand fashion companies make him an excellent addition to the Tapestry leadership team,” said Victor Luis, Tapestry CEO.

He went on to pay tribute to Mr Glaser’s “strategic focus, team leadership, strong analytical and technical skills and exceptional business acumen”.

The Tapestry group includes leathergoods brand Coach, accessories brand Kate Spade and shoe brand Stuart Weitzman.
