The report covers operations at the corporate offices and retail stores of the group’s three brands – Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman.
Tapestry divided its achievements into three categories: Environment & Supply Chain; Community Engagement; and Employee Empowerment.
In the Environment & Supply Chain category, it highlighted that the Coach brand achieved a 13.4% absolute carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) reduction across its corporate and store locations. The group also explained that it has updated its Supplier Code of Conduct to include more stringent requirements for its suppliers.
With regards to its Community Engagement, Tapestry said over 700 of its employees had volunteered in efforts to support their local communities. In addition, it has provided support to areas that have suffered from natural disasters, including Puerto Rico, which has struck by devastating hurricanes in 2017.
Tapestry used the report to pledge its commitment to helping its employees to grow. This has included rolling out a group-wide human resources programme. The group added that it has worked to maintain a board of directors with ethnic, gender and national diversity.
