Founder returns to helm of Anya Hindmarch

She founded the company in 1987 and stepped down as chief executive in 2011. Since then, she has served as creative director. She replaces Antoine Bejui, who left his position of chief executive last month.
Ms Hindmarch said her focus would be on “turning around the business” in order to make it “future proof” after a difficult few years. She added that it has time for the business to be “brave and decisive”.
Qatari investment fund Mayhoola, which first took a stake in the brand in 2012, recently sold its majority stake, believed to be more than 75%, to the Marandi family.
Iranian-born businessman Javad Marandi and his wife Narmina already have stakes in fashion label Emilia Wickstead, wedding dress specialist Wed2be and hotel chain Soho House.
