Qatari royal family named as Anya Hindmarch investors
The purchaser of a £27m stake in handbag and accessories maker Anya Hindmarch has been named as the wife of the Emir of Qatar by UK press.
The Telegraph reported that the Qatar Luxury Group, which buys luxury goods companies for the royal family, bought the stake at the beginning of the month. It was previously reported that the investor was an unknown Qatari.
Sheikha Mozah has placed two directors on the board of the holding company, according to reports.
The deal values the UK-based company at £70m and Ms Hindmarch, who founded the company 25 years ago, remains chairman and chief creative officer.
