Heusch expands application support for its leather customers

The company explained that tanners are facing increasing pressures to lower their costs, improve their environmental responsibility and increase the yield per hide/skin. It added that this requires individual strategies for each tanner, which Heusch’s application support is designed to assist with.
Mr Nijkamp is a trained leather technician with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He began his career working in the tannery owned by his family and has since worked for several other tanneries. He has also worked at chemical companies like Clariant and Stahl, where he served as a leather finishing specialist for the automotive industry.
“His lifelong devotion to the leather industry and his proven track record and expertise will help tanners to further improve their fleshing and shaving operations,” Heusch said.
