Scottish Leather Group wary of Brexit consequences

The Scottish Leather Group has included the UK’s impending exit from the European Union (‘Brexit’) on a list of principal risks and uncertainties that could affect its business.

This information was included in its latest accounts filing, covering the year to March 31.

The company said in the filing: “The group maintains a dedicated risk register documenting the significant impacts that may result from the final shape of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union.”

It added that the outcome of the Brexit negotiations remains unclear and that it will continue to monitor developments closely.

The Scottish Leather Group’s sales for the year to March 31 were £145.6 million, per the filing. It made a profit before tax of £8.4 million on these sales.
