Major management change at Scottish Leather Group
The board of Scottish Leather Group has named Nicholas Muirhead as the new managing director of the group’s Glasgow-based upholstery leather manufacturer, Andrew Muirhead & Son.

Mr Muirhead is a seventh-generation member of the family that established Andrew Muirhead in 1840. Since 2016, Nicholas Muirhead has been managing director of two of the group’s other companies, NCT Leather Limited and W J & W Lang Limited.

Paul McDonald is transferring from the role of operations director at the group’s Bridge of Weir Leather Company to take over as managing director of W J & W Lang Limited and NCT Leather Limited.

Both appointments are effective of September 1.

Jonathan Muirhead, chairman of Scottish Leather Group said on making the announcement: “These appointments will not only strengthen the management team but are part of a succession plan being implemented to ensure the future prosperity of the group.”
