MLA celebrates 20 years of promoting Australian meat
Producer- and government-funded red meat promotions body Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) began its celebration of 20 years’ activity at the Red Meat 2018 conference, which opened in Canberra on November 20.

Presentations on the opening afternoon of the event covered consumer demand for meat and the likelihood of Australian meat producers suffering “collateral damage” in the ongoing trade disputes between the US and China, and between the United Kingdom and the European Union.

Celebrations of MLA’s twentieth anniversary then continued at a welcome dinner.
