10/10/2018
Luxury products group LVMH has reported revenues of €33.1 billion for the first nine months of 2018. It said this corresponds to growth of 10% compared to the same period last year.

Results at its leathergoods and fashion business group were particularly impressive, with revenues reaching €13 billion, an increase of 20% compared to the corresponding period last year.

This means that leathergoods and fashion contributed almost 40% of overall LVMH revenues over the nine-month period, compared to 36% for the same period in 2017.

“Louis Vuitton continues to be driven by the success of its iconic leathergoods lines,” the group said, “and by exceptional creativity in all its businesses. Ready-to-wear and shoes, in particular, experienced strong momentum.”

Other brands it picked out for praise included Christian Dior, Celine and Fendi.
