Jaguar aims to build on its success in China

Sales for the three-month period ending September 30, 2017, showed a 27.4% increase in vehicle deliveries in China compared to the same months in 2016, with 37,600 Jaguar Land Rover vehicles being delivered to customers in China.
China accounted for just over 25% of all Jaguar Land Rover sales for that quarter, making China its largest market and the market in which the group achieved most growth. China Daily has described Jaguar Land Rover as one of the fastest growing premium brands in China.
The addition of a new sedan, the XEL, and a new sports utility vehicle, the E-PACE, to its offering in China will help it keep the pace of growth up, the company said.
In recent comments, the company’s head of operations in China, Frank Wittemann, said: “Our strategy is clear. To be strongly competitive in the market, you have to have a strong localised base.”
