She will take up the position early in 2018, replacing Deborah Lloyd, who has chosen to leave following the brand’s acquisition by Tapestry in July 2017.
Ms Glass will have responsibility for all creative aspects of the brand, including product design, brand imagery and store environments. She will report to the brand president and CEO of Kate Spade, a role currently held on an interim basis by Tapestry chief executive, Victor Luis.
She joins from rival US luxury group Michael Kors where she currently serves as vice president of accessories design at the Michael Kors brand. In this role, she is responsible for sourcing of all leather and fabrics for the brand’s products. She joined Michael Kors in 2004 following time as an accessories designer for Gucci.
